All General Aviation and Recreational Aircraft visitors to Avalon 2011 will operate from Avalon East only – please refer to the Avalon East page for details.

Controlled Airspace
The Avalon airspace is classified Class D airspace with associated ATC procedures. For Avalon 2011 it is expected that the airspace will be classified as Restricted.

CAO 95.55
General Aviation and Recreational Aircraft may, subject to CAO 95.55 operate in controlled airspace, but only under specific conditions.

CASA has approved ultralight flight into Avalon Controlled Airspace for the purpose of Avalon 2011 providing the requirements of AIPSUP H01/11 part 17 are met.
