AIRSHOW ANNOUNCES OUTSTANDING RESULTS

Organisers of the Australian International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition have revealed
outstanding results for the 2011 event.

Airshow CEO Ian Honnery says the weekend public session attendances were particularly pleasing, with
numbers up by more than 30 per cent compared to the Saturday and Sunday public day sessions in 2009.

PREMIER LAUNCHES 2011 AIRSHOW

Victorian Premier Ted Baillieu has officially launched the 2011 Australian International Airshow at Avalon Airport.

Today's launch of the 2011 Airshow marks several significant milestones in Australia's aviation history.

Most significantly, Avalon2011 is the centerpiece of celebrations for the 90th anniversary of the Royal Australian Air Force.

AUSTRALIAN FIRST - STEALTH FIGHTERS AT AIRSHOW

For the first time in Australia, the public will have the chance to see one of the world’s most talked about aircraft.

Among the star attractions to be seen at next month’s Australian International Airshow will be the U.S. military’s current top-of-the-line fighter, the F-22 Raptor.

ENTERTAINMENT ACTION AT THE AVALON AIRSHOW

The Australian International Airshow will deliver more action than ever before on the ground and in the air in March 2011.

An expanded entertainment program at Avalon2011 will excite both the young and young at heart.

For the first time at the event, a special ‘Kids Zone’ has been established to provide entertainment and activities for all ages.

AIR FORCE CHIEFS GATHER FOR MAJOR CONFERENCES AT AIRSHOW

Air Force chiefs and senior military personnel from around the world will descend on Avalon in March for a broad range of international conferences, seminars and symposia.

The 2011 Australian International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition feature a comprehensive conference program, including the prestigious Air Chiefs Symposium.

The Royal Australian Air Force will host this major international gathering of Air Chiefs as a prelude to Avalon2011, which brings together senior Air Force and defence representatives from around the world.

AUSTRALIAN WAR VETERAN RESTORED FOR AIRSHOW

An important part of Australia’s aviation military past is being restored to its former glory for the 2011 Australian International Airshow at Avalon Airport.

The Canberra Bomber was Australia’s first jet bomber, and one currently sits as the gate guardian to Avalon Airport.

Avalon Airport, the home of the Australian International Airshow, was founded when the Commonwealth purchased the land to begin construction of the Canberra Bomber.

2011 AIRSHOW CELEBRATES AVIATION HISTORY

Organisers of the Australian International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition have
announced the Avalon 2011 Airshow will celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the Royal Australian Air
Force.

milestone in Australia’s aviation history.

AIRSHOW IN FOR THE LONG HAUL AT AVALON
