The Australian International Airshow will deliver more action than ever before on the ground and in the air.

An expanded entertainment program at Avalon 2011 will excite both the young and young at heart.

Another Airshow first is the establishment of the “Avalon Arena” where land based thrills and spills will take place.

Avalon Kid’s Zone

This exciting addition to the Airshow program is dedicated to the Airshow Youth. We will be offering activities to occupy the very young right through to …well… even mum and dad might fancy a go at some of the stands! The focus of the activities will be hands-on, aviation and aerospace items that can be taken home as a memento of 2011 Airshow.

The Kid’s Zone will be housed under cover in the Auditorium and will be open on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th March from 09.00am to 3.30pm. We look forward to welcoming you there!

Avalon Arena

If your neck is getting tired watching all the exciting aerial displays, why not come over to the new Avalon Arena and enjoy some land based fun at the Mobility Track and the Extreme Sports Arena.

Mobility Track
The Mobility Track will be the place to see some land-based action from the RAAF. As well as the Airfield Attack scenarios, the RAAF will be performing some exciting Land Attack re-enactments for you to enjoy close-up.

You will also have the opportunity to witness some military and heavy plant 4x4 vehicles having fun on the track, exhibiting their amazing dexterity and speed!

Extreme Sports Arena
Avalon 2011 is proud to announce the new Extreme Sport Arena. Come along and cheer Sam in his Monster Truck as he turns it on a dime, crushes a stack of cars and may even try a few wheelies! The Monster Truck madness will be followed by the amazing Freestyle Moto X team. Jumping from their portable ramps, the team performs crazy stunts mid-air and if the crowd shouts loud enough, they may even perform a few back-flips for you too!
