The Australian International Airshow is a major national and international media event.
As such it attracts journalists, photographers and videographers from throughout Australia and the world.
In 2015 the Airshow attracted 599 journalists and photographers from 18 different countries.
All Australian television and radio networks covered the event as did daily newspapers and aviation and defence specific magazines.
Overseas specialist and commercial media attended in large numbers so too did the major international news agencies.
In 2017 the International Media Centre at Avalon will again be the focal point for the world's media.
From here the journalists will be able to source information and picture opportunities from both defence and commercial aerospace organisations.
The International Media Centre is located within easy reach of the flight line, static display areas, exhibition precinct and conference rooms.
Pre-event accreditation is required by all media wishing to cover the event, to view our media accreditation criteria and to complete the online form click here.
Approved media accreditations will receive complimentary access to the event for the 6 event period (28 February through to 5 March) and the Media Centre.
The Media Centre is fully equipped with work stations, WIFI and internet connections, light refreshments and access to media releases and opportunities during the event. Accredited media will also have access to the media enclosure on the flight line to take photographs.
The Media Centre will also have the Nikon Professional Services team on hand to allow photographers to borrow lens and equipment during the show.
Our friendly staff looks forward to welcoming all accredited media to the AIRSHOW 2017 Media Centre.
