Defence and Aerospace are truly global industries and present new markets and opportunities for Australian industry, both here and overseas. In order to capitalise on these opportunities, it is important that our industrial base not only remains domestically competitive but internationally competitive.
Over the next decade, the Government will invest approximately $195 billion in Defence capability, providing certainty for Australia’s defence industry. For many companies, this means stronger order books as they secure domestic contracts. The real growth of our industry however comes from leveraging the Governments investment and taking our innovative technologies and business ideas to the international Market.
Defence through the Innovation Hub and the Centre for Defence Industry Capability (CDIC) is supporting companies by doing exactly this. The Australian Industry Capability (AIC) program is being strengthened, industry is now formally considered a fundamental input to capability, and a defence exports strategy will be released in 2017.
As an organisation or company supplying to the primes, the ADF or to commercial and military customers overseas, this briefing will provide an insight into the type of support now available and of the changes being made within Defence from the First Principles Review.
Companies or individuals can pre-register their attendance by emailing email@example.com and provide the following information. Attendance is free of charge.
