Where can I stay while I attend the Airshow?

The Australian International Airshow is located between Geelong and Melbourne in Victoria, Australia, with surrounding towns such as Werribee, Ballarat and Bendigo close by. For further information on accommodation, refer to our website here.

Can I camp at the Airshow site or at a Lara Campsite?

The Airshow site is not designed for overnight guests, so we suggest you contact the Geelong Showgrounds who have several powered sites available for hire. There are also many caravan parks in the surrounding areas which have camp sites and powered sites available.

Can I buy tickets at the gate?

The easiest way to buy your tickets is online and remember Ticketmaster is our ONLY ticketing agency.

Although there will be Ticketmaster staff available at the gate to assist with any ticketing issues, there will be NO tickets available for sale at the gate for the AIRSHOW 2023.

HOT TIP: We do not recommend purchasing your tickets from any other ticketing agency as they may not be valid!

Are concession tickets available?

Concession tickets are available for pensioners, including disability support pensioner and students with a valid student ID card.

Note, senior cards are not accepted as a concession.

Do you accept companion cards?

Companion cards are accepted at the Australian International Airshow. If a companion card ticket is required, then the companion card must be quoted at the time of the booking and presented upon entry into the Airshow site.

Where can I park? Is it free?

Yes, onsite parking is FREE! Our onsite car parking has lots of space with transport driving from the car parking to the show entry and back all day. If you have an accessible parking permit, we suggest talking with our car park attendants when arriving at the event for closer accessible car park bays.

Remember, our HOT TIP is to bring your walking shoes as not only is our car park large, the entire Airshow site covers a lot of ground!

What am I allowed to bring to the event (e.g. food, cameras, shade tents)?

You can bring almost everything onsite with you, with a few exceptions.

What you can bring is explained below:

  • Food: You can bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages onsite – you could even bring a picnic rug and have a nice picnic under the planes! There will also be a variety of food outlets available throughout the Airshow site to purchase what you are craving! Please remember to clean up after yourself, there are rubbish bins located around the Airshow site.
  • Sunscreen & sun protective clothing: YES & YES – we are in Mother Nature’s elements, so best not to not forget to wear protective clothing and reapply sunscreen regularly!
  • Umbrellas & shade tents: Umbrellas are permitted onsite to cover yourself from the elements! However, shade tents are not allowed due to the high possibility of winds on the Airshow site. Shade tents can be easily blown onto the runway and interfere with planes – which none of us want!

Can I bring my pet dog to the Airshow?

Although we would love to meet your pets, we would be concerned the loud noises and large crowds at the Airshow would frighten your pets, so best to leave at home on this occasion. Assistance animals that are being used for specific requirements are allowed onsite.

Can I ride my bike or use my motorised scooter around the Airshow site?

Bicycles, scooters, golf carts and items of personal conveyance are not permitted on the Airshow site.

Wheelchair and motorised scooters that are used by persons with a disability or injury are allowed.

HOT TIP: if you have an accessible parking permit, we would suggest talking with our car park attendants when arriving at the event for closer car park bays.
