Australia’s Biggest Airshow is back for 2025!

The Avalon Australian International Airshow is back, and it's bigger and better than ever! Get ready for an unforgettable experience with new and exciting updates alongside the airshow you know and love.

Join us for three days (28-30 March 2025) of exhilarating displays and activities. Experience breathtaking flying displays featuring both military and civil aircraft and get up close and personal to static aircraft on ground.

The entire family will enjoy a weekend packed with family-friendly activities, including FREE carnival rides and enjoy roaming live entertainment throughout the event. Also coming back in 2025 is the can’t be missed Friday Night Alight show, a true highlight of the weekend.

Getting to Avalon

Avalon Australian International Airshow is located at Avalon Airport which is 20kms from Geelong and 54kms from Melbourne.

If you are coming interstate from Gold Coast, Brisbane & Sydney you will be able to fly straight into Avalon Airport, and if you are flying in from anywhere else you will be able to fly into Melbourne International Airport. From here you will be able to use Victoria’s easy public transport to make your way down to the Greater Geelong region.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Myki will be your ticket to travel to the Avalon Australian International Airshow in 2025!

Customers can use their Myki card to travel via VLine train to and from Lara Railway Station, and then board the connecting VLine Bus Shuttle express to and from the airshow.

Customers will need to ensure they have a valid Myki to travel, which includes children travelling 5 years and over and either top up their card to their nominated amount, or purchase a Myki Pass valid for travel for 7 days.

Myki is valid for travel by train between Metropolitan Melbourne and Waurn Ponds, which includes Lara Railway Station. Currently, fares are capped at $10.60 for a Daily Full Fare and $5.30 for Concession. On the weekend, fares are capped at $7.20 Full Fare and $3.60 for Concession.

For Journeys outside of the Myki zones, customers will need a paper ticket. Further information can be found on the PTV Website here: ptv.vic.gov.au/tickets/fares/regional-fares

VLine Bus Shuttles will run express to the International Avalon Airshow daily from Tuesday to Sunday, running for up to 1 hour after gates close to get you home. Further train and bus shuttle timetable information for the Avalon Australian International Airshow 2025 will be available via the PTV Website closer to the event date.
