AVALON AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL AIRSHOW
TRADE DAYS 25-28 MARCH 2025
AVALON AIRPORT, GEELONG, VICTORIA
For the first time ever, Defence Space Command will be at AVALON 2023 highlighting the criticality of space and our vision for Australian space power.
From communications to traffic management, banking to agriculture, and even entertainment and gaming – entire systems and societies are reliant on space – including Australia’s.
Defence Space Command was established in 2022 to lead the effort to assure Australia’s access to space to defend Australia and promote global security and stability in the space domain. Losing access to space would impact not just Australia’s national security but would fundamentally change our way of life.
Defence Space Commander Air Vice-Marshal Catherine Roberts says it is an exciting time for Australia’s space sector and she is proud to showcase Defence Space Command’s contribution to Australia’s space future.
“Space connects us all and is essential to our ability to operate freely in and control maritime, land, and air domains,” she said.
“Much of our forces’ capabilities are enabled by space-based communications, intelligence and positioning, navigating and timing.
“If you are fascinated by space, come visit the Defence Space Hub at this year’s AIRSHOW!”
