Cutting-edge Australian companies and research centres are invited to present to an international audience of engaged potential customers as part of the AVALON 2023 Innovation Pitchfest.

Expressions of Interest (EOIs) open on Monday 28 November to those keen to present a new product or Research and Development project to an audience of possible customers, research partners and investors.

The Innovation PitchFest is part of the greater Innovation Program, sponsored by Synergy Group, at AVALON 2023, that also incorporates the Innovation Awards

PitchFest consists of three minute pitches aimed at demonstrating Australian innovation, research collaboration or the development or strength of an idea in a research project.

Participants are offered training in the art of the three minute pitch in the lead up to the event as they must demonstrate:

• Uniqueness and novelty in the innovation
• Application or end goal of the innovation
• Where future collaboration may be of benefit (and with whom)

Pitch sessions are an opportunity to showcase an innovative idea in the early stage of its development. Pitchers are encouraged to take advantage of the fast-paced atmosphere of the event to hook and engage the audience with their presentation which will be judged by an expert panel.

The top three pitches will be awarded at the conclusion of the event.   

EOIs open Monday 28 November and close late January 2023 or when the event is fully subscribed.

Organised by the Defence Science Institute (DSI) in partnership with AMDA limited, the Defence Innovation Partnership (DIP) in SA, Defence Innovation Network (DIN) in NSW, Defence Science Centre (DSC) in WA, and Queensland Defence Alliance (QDSA), the PitchFest event will be open to all accredited Trade Visitors.

The AVALON 2023 Pitchfest will take place onsite from 1000 to 1130 on Wednesday 1 March 2023.
